Republicans reject subpoenas in Medicare probe

WASHINGTON, April 1 (Reuters) - U.S. House of Representatives Republicans on Thursday blocked Democratic attempts to make two administration players in the Medicare drug debate testify about disputed cost estimates.

The House Ways and Means Committee, in party line votes, declined to subpoena White House official Doug Badger and former Medicare dead Thomas Scully to testify before the committee. The two had declined to appear at a hearing on the issue on Thursday.

Democrats have accused the Republican administration of conducting a "cover-up" of Medicare cost estimates last year as legislation to overhaul the system was being debated. snip

"The White House is clearly trying to stonewall and now senior House Republicans are complicit in that cover-up," said Rep. Charles Rangel of New York, the top Democrat on the panel. "There is something they are trying to hide."

is a lying sack of shit. I watched the House Ways and Means Committee question Foster, it came out that Thomas KNEW the real number before the vote.
Foster had called Thomas with the real number and told Thomas he was being threatened! <----before the vote!
Thomas told on his self he needed to make a point (he did it after Rangel had finished questioning Foster) seems in 97' a similar situation happened (Thomas was trying to blame Clinton's penis again) in which Foster was threatened and had called Thomas for help. Thomas was trying to make his self seem fair and point out of course that it was 97' you know that bad bad Clinton.
Rangel caught this too and he tried to ask him about it. Thomas wouldn't let Rangel speak and I still haven't seen this printed anywhere in the papers...surprise! surprise!

THOMAS KNEW the REAL NUMBER BEFORE THE VOTE no freaking wonder he won't allow for subpoenas he's in on it!
I repeat Thomas KNEW the correct number before the vote!
