Juan Williams Gets $2 Million, Three-Year Contract With Fox News: LAT
Source: Huffington Post

"... Even though he was fired from NPR, Juan Williams won't have to worry about keeping a roof over his head. The Los Angeles Times reported that Fox News has signed Williams to a new, three-year, $2 million contract. He will have an expanded role on the network and will write a column for FoxNews.com.

"The Times calls Williams' new salary 'a considerable bump' up from his previous compensation.

"In a statement, Fox News president Roger Ailes told the paper that the network valued Williams' contributions. 'Juan has been a staunch defender of liberal viewpoints since his tenure began at Fox News in 1997,' Ailes said.

"He added, in a clear reference to NPR, that Williams was 'an honest man whose freedom of speech is protected by Fox News on a daily basis'..."

26. Juan William's bio on Fox "News" says that he's been on the Newscorp payroll since 1997
Williams: If you think about liabilities for President Obama that are close to him -- Joe Biden's up there -- but Michelle Obama's right there. Michelle Obama, you know ...

O'Reilly: But it's not her fault in the sense that --

Williams: She's got this Stokely Carmichael-in-designer dress thing going. If she starts talking, as Mary Katharine suggested, her instinct is to start with this "blame America," you know. "I'm the victim." If that stuff comes out ...

O'Reilly: Yeah, it'll be death.

Williams: People will go bananas.

O'Reilly: Right.

Williams: -- and she'll go from being the new Jackie O to being something of an albatross.

43. Anyone a micron to the left of Neocons is a extremist liberal.
Conservatives fear of anyone who is not them prevents them from finding out that they are, in fact, a minority and far out of the mainstream. To their distorted worldview, their views repersent the beliefs of everyone they talk to, so they MUST be a majority and the mainstream. In truth, 70% of the US either doesn't care or thinks Neocons are insane.

5. Listening to JW on NPR, I always got the feeling
that he wouldn't recognize a liberal viewpoint if it hit him between the eyes.

So happy he's descended to his natural level now.
