Rand Paul Supporter Tim Profitt Wants Stomping Victim To Apologize To HIM
Source: Huffington Post

Tim Profitt, the Rand Paul supporter behind the white sneaker that notoriously stomped on a MoveOn activist's head in Kentucky, sought to play down the importance of the incident Tuesday, and went so far as to ask the victim for an apology.

"I don't think it's that big of a deal," Profitt told WKYT. "I would like for her to apologize to me to be honest with you."

While the victim, Lauren Valle, said Tuesday that she believed the campaign workers' violent reaction to her presence there was "premeditated," Profitt told WKYT that he thought Valle was following a strict protocol with the intent of creating controversy.

"She's a professional at what she does," Profitt said, "and I think when all the facts come out, I think people will see that she was the one that initiated the whole thing." . . .

His sniveling cowardice apparently knows no limits. Soon he will no doubt get a high-paid job as a Fox News commentator.

7. I'm worked up about this one
If this fucko and his fucko buddies don't serve time, I think we may be forced to accept that there is no reliable justice against right-wing woman abusers. They've been empowered by Fox and their insane "candidates" to be abusers and criminals, and now think they are untouchable by the law. So now we get to find out if they're right I suppose.

There are no two sides to this in my mind. This fucker has to go to directly to jail (and NOT recieve a Fox contract). Anything less is a very VERY bad sign.

18. Proffitt and his friend were huge alone and the two of them
together could have easily simply stood beside her and prevented her sign from being seen.

But Proffitt's conduct was completely inexcusable because the other guy had already forced her down and Proffitt just walked over and stepped on her back and then very deliberately stepped on her head. He did each of those acts in a malicious manner, literally kicking the young woman when she was down.

He needs to go over the film with his psychiatrist and calmly review what he did and how he felt at each moment.

Let him whine and blame the victim for being a bully abuser of women who are weaker than he is. I don't have to wonder how he treats the women in his life. A man who doesn't abuse women would never have done what he did.

This is just so fucked up I'm tempted to write this parody of OneRepublic's "Apologize" (this link is the Timbaland remix; original version here): (lyrics here):

(VERSE 1)
I just pulled off your wig
And shoved you to the ground,
Now I'm stomping on your head
So hard you can't get out,

You tell me that you're hurting,
Then you go and call me out, but wait,
You tell me to say sorry
But I'd rather turn around, and say

(CHORUS)
I don't need to apologize, but you do!
I said I don't need to apologize, but you do!
I don't...

(VERSE 2)
Democrats have no chance, they will fall,
get shot and lose
Lauren, you deserved what you got
So don't try to sue

Americans are voting red, firing all the blues
So please sa-ay...
Sorry that you came here
Tricking us into welcoming you
I hate your face!

(CHORUS)

So fuck Tim Profitt and his idiotic irresponsible ways. James O'Keefe anyone?

and I never defended the attack on her.

That doesn't mean that she didn't go into the situation knowing something might have happened.

edited to add-

re-reading my posts I do come off as pro-Rand. That was not my intent, and I would ask that you forgive me as today is just a long one and I am a bit on edge with the campaign going on. My point is that Move On planned a confrontation with Rand and send her in knowing something could happen. It did and thankfully she wasn't hurt more. However, we cannot blind ourselves to the fact that she went in to provoke a response. I would ask that in the future Move On takes more care, and shows more patience, in their publicity stunts.

53. From the WaPo
M$M rag...

"However: It looks as if this may not result in an arrest. Based on the footage of the incident, cops are treating the case for the time being as a fourth degree assault case, which puts this in the realm of domestic violence scuffles and barfights, she tells me. She says they're treating this as a "misdemeanor, not a felony."

Cops have to witness a scuffle like this firsthand in order to make an arrest, she adds. If they do identify the suspect, the victim, Lauren Halle, has the right to ask a judge at Fayette district court to bring charges. In other words, this is likely to be up to the court."

Ah, the deep south good ole' boy network lives on...

55. Looks like aggravated assault to me.
She suffered a concussion which is a "serous bodily injury". That's one of the elements of aggravated assault. Now as far as what their standards are in Kentucky, or the degrees of assault in their laws, I don't know.

She can STILL sue him in civil court for damages. I hope she does.
