Santa Clara pot dispensary raided for second time in two weeks
Source: San Jose Mercury News

For the second time in less than two weeks, narcotics agents Wednesday raided the same large Santa Clara medical marijuana dispensary -- this time arresting nine people and seizing 30 pounds of pot.

Agents from the Santa Clara County Special Enforcement Team raided the Angel's Care Collective on Laurelwood Road only 11 days after they raided it the first time, officials confirmed. During the first raid on Oct. 15, agents handed out "admonishments" that warned employees that if they tried again to sell marijuana illegally, they were at risk of getting busted.

... James Clark, a criminal attorney who represents those in the medical marijuana industry who have run afoul of the law, said the unit's raids were misguided and politically motivated.

"It's part and parcel of a cynical law enforcement attempt to take advantage of midterm elections,'' Clark said. "They are using a shift of government to use powers that they don't have and hoping it will get lost in the confusion."

1. "seizing 30 pounds of pot"...
they seized 35 pounds minimum, only 30 pounds made it to the evidence room. Where do you go for the best pot- if you have friends in law enforcement that is where you go.

2. Back in my warehouse days, I worked with a guy who was going to the police academy...
...half of his money came from working in the warehouse. The other half came from dealing drugs. Didn't work with him long enough to find out if he became a cop or not. He was also cheating on his wife and I believe she pulled some strings and got him fired.

Protect and serve!

4. If they were a for-profit "pharmacy" giving people narcotics without prescriptions...
Oh, wait, that's basically what they were doing.

"The battle goes on against the people who just can't seem to pay attention to the rules and the guidelines,'' said Bob Cooke, who heads the South Bay region of the Bureau of Narcotics Enforcement.
After the first raid, officials said undercover agents developed evidence that the dispensary was selling cannabis to those without proper documentation and that it was a profit-making business.

6. The cops want the territory back!
Corrupt as hell, CA cops. Think of all the stories, all the beatings, the murders. A culture of corruption.
