A Council Bluffs man running as a U.S. Senate write-in candidate in Iowa was jailed Friday in Lincoln.

Phil Storey, 41, was arrested by University of Nebraska-Lincoln police on suspicion of making terroristic threats, a felony.

Storey was campaigning Thursday at UNL when he had a confrontation with a student employee near Andrews Hall at 14th and U Streets, said Assistant Chief Carl Oestmann of the UNL Police Department.

Storey was apparently displeased that the student was removing his “Phil Storey U.S. Senate” signs, the assistant chief said.
