Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin claimed on Sunday that she has video evidence proving that reporters for a CBS affiliate in Alaska conspired to show Joe Miller, the state's Republican Senate nominee, in a negative light.

"CBS reporters are on tape saying 'let’s find a child molester in the crowd that supports Miller,'" the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee said on "Fox News Sunday." "Those are corrupt bastards."

Palin, who is a Fox News contributor, said she "can't wait" to show the tape, which she says was recorded at a recent rally that she addressed in Alaska. The tape was posted Saturday night on Big Journalism.

Not really sure how Palin "showing" an audio tape has much impact given there's no video. But CBS affiliate reporters doing this is a numbnuts move a few days out from the election. And getting caught ain't the swiftest move either. Will it make a difference? I doubt it will in Alaska since too few voters will spell Murkowski correctly anyway, even with a guide. "Big CBS" needs to distance themselves quickly from the affiliate so it doesn't rebervirate in other states.

journalists to decide where their boundaries; but they sounded more like campaign ops rather than reporters. The morans apparently left a phone open after leaving a message for the Miller campaign.

explanation - they were discussing what others could do. It will be interesting who they ID as these "others." Personally, I have an airtight alibi.

Apparently the station was leaving a message for the Miller campaign to line up an interview and failed to hang up their station phone correctly. The campaign's voice-mail kept recording after the reporters thought they were not connected.
