32. That would be "baka-yaro"
Or it could also be "kuso-yaro", which is even worse.

"Aho" is pretty tame by comparison-- it usually just means "silly"

42. "Aho" apparently has some regional differences in meaning
In Kansai and parts west (where I learned the term), it means "silly". Apparently in the Tokyo area, it can mean "jackass"

But there is no ambiguity with kuso-yaro, as in "Kyowa-to no seijika wa kuso-yaro!"

44. In this case, "Kyowa-to" means "Republican Party"
Edited on Thu Nov-04-10 09:34 AM by Art_from_Ark
Written in Kanji, it is 共和党 or きょうわとう in hiragana

"Seijika" 政治家 means "politician(s)" :hi:

16. Dear Oklahoma
I was surprised to see that you have chosen English as your single official language, especially when you had such a wonderful assortment of possibilities: Apache, Arapaho, Caddo, Cayuga, Cherokee, Cheyenne, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Comanche, Creek, Delaware, Fox, Iowa, Kaw, Kickapoo, Kiowa, Miami, Modoc, Otoe, Ottawa, Pawnee, Peoria, Ponca, Potawatomi, Quapaw, Sac, Seminole, Seneca, Shawnee, Tonkawa, Wichita, and Wyandotte, for example, might all naturally come to mind as important in Oklahoma's history, as immigrant-rich as it is
