House bars moving Guantanamo prisoners to US
Source: BBC News

The US House of Representatives has approved a bill that would prevent moving prisoners at the military prison at Guantanamo Bay to US soil.

It prohibits any spending to transfer such detainees or to finance facilities to hold them in the US.

The provision is part of legislation for funding government expenses.

Since it's part of the long-delayed FY10 budget, probably.

It's a sign of how broken Congress is that they can only address the budget and other big things in a lame duck session nowadays.

3. No wonder we see Democrats as Cowards...
Congress is controlled by Democrats..What possible explanation is there other than pure FEAR to pass such a ruling? How would it hurt in any way for these criminals to be tried in US courts and imprisoned in US Prisons? America is such a Cowardly Nation.
