Vancouver gang shooting injures 10
Source: CBC

At least five people are in custody after 10 people were injured in a gang-related shooting in Vancouver early Sunday.

Six men and three women were being treated for gunshot wounds, and two of them are in critical condition. A 10th victim refused treatment, police said.

Just after 2 a.m. PT, police got calls about shots being fired near Oak Street and W. 22nd Avenue.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found people with gunshot wounds in the 3800 block of Oak Street. Additional victims were found on the street a short distance away, while others turned up over the next hour at local hospitals.

7. 0 How's that Canadian gun registry workin' out for ya?
So, abunch of criminals (in a country w/ some very restrictive gun laws) did something illegal w/ fire arms.

As a law abiding gun owner how does this apply to me?

4. West of Cambie
Supposedly the "better side of town", or at least that's what a lot of the locals told me.

5. Looks like an accidental encounter off turf. Or someone owed someone in one of the

apt buildings on the North side of the street. Mind you
there was the Salvadoran gun battle on Main and Hastings
ten years ago. That cut humanitarian emigration from El
Salvador to nil overnight LOL

8. I can easily imagine gun battles at Main and Hastings
I have a harder time grasping such a gun fight at Oak and 22nd. If this sort of thing starts creeping up toward UBC, I'll really be shocked.

6. Probably some Americans took their guns there on vacation...everyone knows
Canadians don't have guns because their government won't let them...
