they feel confident they'll keep their shareholders happy.
The ones who don't need to sell their stock to put food on the table, anyway.

When I heard that report on Lou Dobbs tonight, I thought the same thing. Their boy is in, they can run WILD and not worry about the consequences. They can fire people left and right, eliminate jobs, abuse the employees they keep, cheat their stockholders, and give themselves 400 percent raises -- and no one bats an eyelash. I'd be optimistic, too, if I were in their shoes.

5. Reality: Economic news is NOT good. Solution: Tell the masses it IS good. |
|
I expect every business publication for the next 7 months to talk about how wonderful the economy is. I expect a lot of companies to do some serious hiring in the summer/fall, although only in part-tme and low pay jobs. I expect every person in this country who has had a good 4 years to do everything possible to get Bush* elected. Of course, that means the top 1-2% of the population. Unfortunately for the rest of us, that small group owns most of the media. Hell, with all the money Bush* has saved rich people, they must all love him!
PS - I know several rich people (top 1%) and a few super rich people. The super rich will all promote Bush*, though the rich ones largely think the tax cuts were a mistake that they benefited from.

6. "Yes brothers, it's great: we got 'em so fucked they'll never recover" |

We can fleece, pollute, collude, conspire, bully and cheat as we please, and the media and government will whistle a merry tune...

all that can be outsourced.
business is high on outsourcing. they love it, want more of it, and see nothing but dollar signs coming from it.
and they also realize the we americans are getting so desperate for jobs that almost any wage will be accepted.
