More than 1,000 dead birds fall from sky in Ark.

The Associated Press
Sunday, January 2, 2011; 1:35 AM

BEEBE, Ark. -- Wildlife officials are trying to determine what caused more than 1,000 black birds to die and fall from the sky over an Arkansas town.

The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission said Saturday that it began receiving reports about the dead birds about 11:30 p.m. the previous night. The birds fell over a 1-mile area of Beebe, and an aerial survey indicated that no other dead birds were found outside of that area.

Commission ornithologist Karen Rowe said the he birds showed physical trauma, and she speculated that "the flock could have been hit by lightning or high-altitude hail."

The commission said that New Year's Eve revelers shooting off fireworks in the area could have startled the birds from their roost and caused them to die from stress.

13. Right
I'm sure it was nothing more than a farmer's field that had been sprayed with a pesticide of some kind and this flock just happened to feed there at the wrong time.

Top US Official Murdered After Arkansas Weapons Test Causes Mass Death
Posted by EU Times on Jan 4th, 2011 // 64 Comments

A shocking report prepared for Prime Minister Putin by the Foreign Military Intelligence Directorate (GRU) states that one of the United States top experts in biological and chemical weapons was brutally murdered after he threatened to expose a US Military test of poison gas that killed hundreds of thousands of animals in Arkansas this past week.

18. There are a lot of birds in Arkansas...
We hit them all the time flying the low-level routes in that state. Something to do with being the confluence for two larger rivers (Arkansas and Mississippi).

The Arkansas River is also the site,at Russellville, of a nuclear power site.

26. ??
I know where Russellville is and I know where the nuke plant is...we fly around it all the time. Wrong part of the state for what? Rivers? Beebe is located right on the edge of the White River floodplain, and most of the state is a flyway for migrating birds. That was my point.

19. Poisoned
Over the years, there have been many reports of hundreds or thousands of dead birds falling from the skies and almost always the cause of death turns out to be poison.

If there is a cattle feedlot or other enterprise in the Beebe area that would have a motive to poison birds, this is likely the case. We'll see what the toxicologists say.

Remember this?

24. Both incidents
are species specific. You'd think if it was hailstones they would have hit other birds too, and if poison it would have killed other types of birds and fish.

The idea of chemtrails is laughable. Everyone's already mentioned Pine Bluff and Ft Chaffee, I'm actually shocked there haven't been any conspiracies about Little Rock Air Force Base.

30. Chemtrails are real, I've seen them
The only way to get a bird to fall out of the sky is either to shoot them or poison them. Disease doesn't kick in that fast, they land first and then die somewhere.

34. Shh with the chemtrails! -- look --! ---> Mysterious bird deaths hit Sweden
Would it be reasonable to believe these incidents are related, at least as to a common cause? Not sure what that would be yet -- these are also black birds.
