4.1 quake rattles Bay Area

(01-07) 16:29 PST -- A moderate earthquake rattled the Bay Area this afternoon. The 4.1 magnitude quake struck at 4:10 p.m. with an epicenter 13 miles southeast of downtown San Jose, the U.S. Geological Survey said. It struck on the Calavera fault line and had a depth of 4.4 miles. The quake was followed by an aftershock of magnitude 2.6.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damages.

Thought I felt a bit of a roll earlier! (Or maybe that was the sound of 49er fans jumping for joy over Harbaugh being hired.)

2. I felt it in San Jose for about 15 seconds
It was powerful but not a real violent shaker...as soon as I was aware of it, it was over.

5. Didn't feel it in Stockton, checked with the kids
they didn't feel anything in Crocket. Southbay only then?
