Loughner video with 'genocide' and 'torture' ramblings is released

A YouTube video that prompted the suspension of Tucson shooting suspect Jared Lee Loughner in September was released Friday by officials at Pima Community College and included rambling statements such as "We are examining the torture of students" and "This is genocide in America."

The video, no longer on the website, was released to The Times following a public records request and offers the extended example of Loughner's voice.

A campus police officer who saw the video "positively recognized the voice and the reflection in the window as student Jared Loughner," according to a school police report. That same officer had removed Loughner from his biology class Sept. 23 after a disruptive outburst.

The video, titled "Pima Community College School - Genocide/Scam - Free Education - Broken United States Constitution," was created shortly after the biology class incident in which Loughner was escorted to an administrator's office, campus police said. It was taped on the college campus, according to school police.

that he was responding to vitriol from the Right. But maybe more telling here is what his aunt was reported as saying. In essence, she said Jared's folks had "done their best" in addressing their son's problems. It wasn't made clear what "doing their best" implied, but if it is referring to professional help, here's a PRIME example of why this nation MUST HAVE better, more comprehensive, and EASILY AFFORDABLE health care. Added irony that this IS Arizona, where health care cuts are a big story at the moment.

He makes little sense, but you can feel the frustration building up in him. He should have had a mental evaluation and put on some kind of medication. He sounds like the kind of person who would have never thought to ask for help. He's been labeled a loner, yet if one is a loner, do they truly feel they can't connect with anyone? In his case I am sure..because to kill another human being, you have to be in the mind set that those you kill are not on your level of humanity.

His world was a bubble, that he could only break out with, by violence.

I've read some of his purported posts on that gaming site and at ATS and he likes to write like he was writing a logic problem. I'm not saying the guy doesn't have a mental illness but it seems to me, he was messing with people because there are definite lucid replies when he isn't writing in his "logic problem" shorthand (or whatever you wanna call it). I wonder if that's why an ex-gf says he's faking it. Or maybe it's the onset of his mental illness.
