Vote On Comcast-NBC Merger Could Come This Week
Source: Politico

Federal regulators may give the final green light to the proposed merger of Comcast and NBC Universal as early as this week, allowing the country’s largest cable company to come one step closer to taking over one of the nation’s largest TV networks.

The five members of Federal Communications Commission could begin casting their votes on the deal in the next few days, industry sources tell POLITICO. 3. Comcast is a pernicious and rapacious( imagine that) monopoly.
My case in point, Comcast is the only tv/internet service available in my apartment complex since satellite dishes are prohibited and Verizon is not a viable option (no fiber optic line) either. So I get bleed or do without. The cable tv I can pass on but internet service has become about as important(or more so) than a telephone.
