Boehner to Caroline Kennedy: 'Still time' to run
Source: USA Today

...

House Speaker John Boehner noted Congress is without a member of the Kennedy clan in its ranks and joked with Caroline Kennedy that she should follow in the footsteps of her father, two uncles and two cousins.

"Sadly, this is the first Congress to convene without a Kennedy in its ranks since Harry Truman was president," Boehner said as he began his remarks honoring the 50th anniversary of John F. Kennedy's inauguration.

5. Caroline Kennedy would not be allowed by the democratic
party. Read the clintons and rahm. Too leftist.

11. Personally, I like Teddy Jnr.
I only saw him speak for the first time at his father's funeral, but I was most impressed with his style and humour.
And he's got good looks as well. Obviously he's not interested or I'm sure he'd have made his move, but what a
shame. The Democrats could use another Kennedy right now.

12. As usual Boehner is wrong.
The Congress that convened in 1961 did not have a Kennedy in it. John had moved on to the White House; Robert was Attorney General & Edward would not run for the John's seat until 1962, after he turned 30.

16. Boehner was trying to be nice and pay his respects to the Kennedys. I think we should give him a
pass on this one. We don't have to react to everything Boehner says. We can disagree with him without being disagreeable.
