Gas Leak Closes 4 Columbus City Schools On Tuesday

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Four Columbus City Schools will be closed on Tuesday because of a gas leak.

Start keeping track of these infrastructure failure stories. So far this month, that I have caught... two of them. One in Philly and this one. Philly had casualties by the way, as in dead people.

Let me guess, today was sloppy joe and baked bean day in the cafeteria.

2. not good... and your point about keeping track is SO spot on... sigh...
the great gov of ohio, Mr Education himself, Kasich, will surely make schools/roads/transportation a focus in his budget! as if.... is this guy even leaving his home in Westerville or is he making everyone come to him since he won't live in the gov mansion?

Officials say high gas pressure led to multiple fires in Fairport Harbor - UPDATED

The explosion was intense enough for the house next door to also catch on fire. From there, multiple reports of structure fires on New, East, High and Independence streets were ringing in.

As a result, 25 fire departments from Lake, Geauga, Cuyahoga and Ashtabula counties were fighting fires throughout the village until 11 a.m.

Talcott said as many as 18 separate fires broke out throughout the town. While officials have not yet determined how many residents were displaced following the fires, Talcott said 10 buildings — eight homes, one garage and one apartment complex — were rendered uninhabitable
