Thousands of protesters are defying the night curfew in the capital Cairo and are trying to storm the state TV building and the Foreign Ministry.

Some protesters were also looting television sets and electric fans from the burning ruling party headquarters nearby after the entire complex was set ablaze.

Will some intelligence agency interfere in Egypt, or is a popular revolt really possible? I am unsure. The signs point to "yes" currently. I do think the West is trying desperately to coopt this thing, but it really represents a monumental defeat for Western geostrategy in the region.
