OTTAWA (AP) -- Prime Minister Paul Martin will meet President Bush in Washington on April 30, Martin's office announced Wednesday.

It will be Martin's first trip to Washington as prime minister, although he and Bush met at an international summit in Mexico earlier this year.

The prime minister's office said in a statement that Martin and Bush will meet in the Oval Office and continue their discussions over a White House lunch.

The statement said the prime minister looks forward to discussing ``issues of mutual interest,'' including the campaign against terrorism.

Maybe Martin should leave his senior strategist at home this time. You may recall last time Bush met Martin, he told Scott Reid, Martin's strategist "Well, you got a pretty face."

I'd hate to see what he says to him once he feels more familiar with the guy.
