Bombs found in U.S.-led authority compound in Iraq

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Two bombs were found and defused on Thursday inside the heavily fortified "Green Zone" in Baghdad where the U.S.-led administration in Iraq has its headquarters, soldiers at the scene said.

The soldiers said the "improvised explosive devices" were found on Thursday morning. The sprawling Green Zone area includes several buildings and offices, including one of Saddam Hussein's former palaces

Smoke is rising from inside the Green Zone, the sealed-off neighborhood used by the US-led coalition as headquarters.

the "coalition" something or another inside the Green Zone.
