Sarah Palin gun stalker collared by FBI
Source: Mirror News (UK)

A GUN-toting teenager who has bombarded right-wing US politician Sarah Palin with threatening letters has been arrested by the FBI in her home state of Alaska.

Stalker Shawn Christy, 19, sent her receipts for a gun he bought and told her to watch his back.

Palin, a supporter of the gun lobby, had won a six-month restraining order against Christy in October.

But her family have revealed that Christy was held in Anchorage, just 50 miles from her home in Wasilla. FBI officers have ordered him to return to Pennsylvania, 3,500 miles away.

And she wouldn't let him ride in the helicopter.

4. What's the big deal? Palin packs heat, and her house is a fortress.
The solution to gun toting threats is to carry a gun. Problem solved.

8. It IS a big deal!
I don't care who it is, or how well his/her home is protected....Any threat - even a veiled threat is a "big deal". Guns have their place in this society, but threatening the lives of other people is not one of them.

11. The guy sent her a copy of his gun receipt and told her to watch her ass
Anyone who's read my posts knows I'm not a Palin fan at all but yeah...that kind of behavior most certainly is a big deal.

However, since accounts say that he believes that Sarah Palin is evil and must be punished because the Bah-bull told him so, I'm going to go for "Not A Left-Winger" for 200, Alex.

23. god forbid, we should wait for facts before we determine either way
and frankly, who the fuck cares? This person threatened a (former) politician with gun violence. That's wrong. I don't care what party they are. The instant rush to politicize and predetermine the political views of the Giffords shooter turned out to be a big fail. Why not wait? Considering Palin is an (insanely stupid) Republican, it very well may be that this threatener is a Democrat. Giffords shooter was an independent. I suggest waiting. I'm not speculating either way. The kneejerk assumption is usually when somebody threatens or assaults a politician, that the person belongs to the opposing party. That is very frequently untrue. The mayor of Seattle a few years back was assaulted - struck in the face by a guy swinging a bullhorn. The mayor was a Democrat. The swinger was a batshit insane Democrat. It happens.

15. Palin's parents say they fear for her safety
Sarah Palin's parents said they fear for the safety of their daughter and her family, and that they sleep with guns as a precaution, the BBC reports.

In a recent interview with BBC's "Newsnight," which explored the former Republican vice presidential nominee's prospective presidential bid for 2012, her parents Chuck and Sally Heath spoke about threats against the family.

"As a mother I do have concerns about her safety and that of the kids... she knows how I feel, that it's risky," Sally Heath told the network.

Citing a recent incident in which a man from Pennsylvania reportedly sent the family and others copies of the receipt of a gun he had purchased, as well as that of a one-way ticket to Anchorage, Chuck Heath said the family had legitimate safety concerns.

"We sleep with the guns," Palin's father told BBC's Jackie Long

I'm glad the FBI caught the nutcase. Your daughter ought to be more circumspect with her words with gun metaphors, "pals around with terrorists", "real Americans", not like us, & "targets".

Think of the fear the Obama familiy & many Democrats targetted by Sarah & her ilk live in everyday. Ask Gabby Giffords, Mark Kelly, their family & staff. They already have been wounded by the hatred Palin spews.

I guess it never occurred to them that their _itch daughter is partly to blame for the deaths in Arizona too.
