BANGOR, Maine (AP) — Two Canadians women are being held without bail on charges they arrived at a Maine border crossing with Nova Scotia with firearms and illegal drugs in their car.

The Bangor Daily News says 18-year-old Rantel Carlin MaClean and 22-year-old Janaya Andrea Crawley, both of Nova Scotia, allegedly took a wrong turn when they arrived at the Calais border crossing on March 2.

They told agents they were headed to Toronto.

3. Canada really needs to do something about our crime problem!
I'm sure dozens of firearm illegally cross our northern borders each day.
They need strict gun control and a registry or something.

6. Is 344 Ecstasy tablets a lot? Sounds like they're engaged in a bit of non-trivial trafficking to me
Although 10-15 would be way too much of a sentence in any case...

13. 344 tablets @ $20/tablet is nearly $7,000 worth of drugs.
That's a decent amount, IMO.

14. I totally misread Dogtowns's post - thought it was $20 total
In that case I agree, this was not a personal supply...

but drug-runners nonetheless.

Time to end the War on Drugs and dry up the markets for bootleg chemists. Bathtub X is laced w/ all sorts of nasty stuff.

7. That alone is more pretext to invade than the Germans had when they went into Poland.
We shall march to the shores of Winnipeg until this Canuck menace is eliminated.

If Nova Scotia was part of the USA as it always should have been, these crooks would be US citizens.
