Senate Dems returning from Illinois
Source: Madison Capitol Times

Wisconsin Senate Democrats who fled to Illinois three weeks ago are coming back.

Sen. Jim Holperin said Thursday that he was on his way home to Conover and other Democrats were either on their way back or would be leaving soon.

He says there was no reason for them to stay away any longer since Senate Republicans passed the bill without them on Wednesday night.

5. Well, I'm thinking there's nothing to stop Hosni Walker from calling another special session
On the other hand, you know how pukes like to take their victory laps and collect campaign cash every time they do their puppetmaster's bidding.

6. I would love this to be a rouse by the Dems to get the Pukes scurrying back from DC only to find....
the 14 still out of state.

3. Expected
but discouraging.

The Wisconsin Republicans appear to have won this battle but they've touched off a 'war' with their tactics that hopefully won't be over any time soon.

8. Because of the nuclear option, the vote will happen with or without them today.
Edited on Thu Mar-10-11 12:25 PM by Fearless
Being out of state gives the GOP tools to call them weak or against the people. Going back to the Senate is the ONLY viable option. They need to make their voices heard. American needs its heroes on the ground now.

13. The State Senate closed their special session last night
after the union-busting vote. I'm not sure how they could re-convene when they are scheduled to be back until April, unless the gov calls another special session. Just my understanding of the situation.

There is a floor vote now going on in the Assembly.

10. I wouldn't do it...it's a trap to make this unlawful bill legal...the moment one Dem returns........
to the state the rethugs will call an instant revote thus making it a legally passed bill.

15. Could be...but they cannot remain in Illinois forever.
The people of Wisconsin voted for this and we will see whether they approve of the results in 2012.

17. By 2012, through a series of magnificent lies and cooked books, the
Republicans will make themselves look like heroes. People today do not seem to remember things like they did in yesteryear. As far as this being successful in defeating Obama in 2012, I'm not sure that will work. The unions will pour money into the election of Democrats because they know it may be their last show.

24. Well, if a group cannot convince enough people that they are right,
the other guys will continue to call the shots.

20. I'm not calling them stupid,
I just think it's a dumb move, I think Walker is just setting a trap. Sorry I was not more clear. I have a lot of respect for the WI 14. I'm just so pissed off today by the WI GOP's fascist tactics.

16. UPDATE: just hearing from one of the Wisconsin 14 that they are not returning
Apparently, once again, the WSJ ran with this story and it's false. The Madison Capitol Times has passed it on. It still remains on their website.

Stay tuned for further confirmation from one or the other.

They all said they weren't going anywhere. Every day we hear reports that they're coming back, yet, they are still in Illinois.

19. The Middle East
The official State News Agencies reported/report lie after lie in Egypt (when Hosni Walker was still there), Libya, Morocco, etc. The average joe had/has to depend on twitter & Facebook for the truth.

Same thing here in "freedom-loving" America.

USA! USA! USA!

23. On MSNBC the senate dems said again THEY ARE NOT COMING BACK!
The dem senator said they are still reviewing legal action re the bill,
and that Walker's order to have them arrested is still in effect!

This is like the third time someone has put out a rumor that they're coming back in the past week or so.
I think everyone should just wait until they are actual back instead of listening to rumors.
