Jeff Skilling's attorney denies report of bizarre behavior
Jeff Skilling's attorney denies report of bizarre behavior
From staff and wire reports

NEW YORK -- Former Enron CEO Jeffrey Skilling was taken to a hospital early today after several people called police saying he was pulling on their clothes and accusing them of being FBI agents, a police source told The Associated Press.

Police found Skilling at 4 a.m. at the corner of Park Avenue and East 73rd Street and determined he might be an "emotionally disturbed person," said the source, speaking to the AP on condition of anonymity.

Bruce Hiler, Skilling's lawyer, said Skilling and his wife were attacked by some people in New York, and his wife suffered a concussion. Police denied that account.

7. I'm on the same...
wavelength! Sauced - not yet fried.

I suppose this might be used to discredit any evidence he could give against Kenny-boy. Maybe it's time to withdraw his deal and let him spend a couple of decades drying out in a cellblock? Something's goung on...that's for sure...Wifey just changed her plea.

2. He's a disgusting human being
He should be executed.

I'm serious.

I support the death penalty for white collar supercriminals. More people on our side of the aisle would support capital punishment if there was a real chance for corrupt, white male CEO's to be executed for their crimes.

5. I wholeheartedly support your view...
I have long advocated the death penalty for these types of criminals and people have laughed at me. I teach college in the prison system, and know the penalties that some of these folks are paying for much less. I one thinks about it, it could change the entire way American corporations do business, and that would be a good thing.

3. I saw this also
The excuse is that Skilling was drunk. The fact that Skilling was released so quickly indicates that this may not be an insanity or incompetency defense.

On one of the Houston news broadcasts, one of the Houston criminal defense bar made the wonderful observation that this will not help the defense of this case.

If you can afford those million dollar a year lawyers, you can
do almost anything you want to. The truth does not matter if you have got the big bucks. God Bless America.

12. Any Chicagoans here? Did you know he is Tom Skilling's brother?
Tom Skilling is an extremely affable meteorologist on WGN in Chicago. I was amazed to here that he was related to a potential Enron felon.
