West Michigan school chief warns staff of severe cuts, says Gov. Rick Snyder's budget aims to break
Source: mlive.com Michigan Live

“What they want is to break the union,” he said. “I’ll point out the elephant in the room. That’s exactly what’s going on, and the general public doesn’t know it.”
Britten blasted the plan to shift $896 million in school aid fund revenue that traditionally is earmarked for K-12 education to cover colleges and universities as counter to the intentions of Proposal A.

1. It is an attack on children, and perhaps even more
it should start to be framed in that manner rather than as an attack on teachers or unions

4. It's an attack on the entire state. "Emergency manager" bill
is designed to let the little dictator take over any city he wishes, fire everyone, seize municipal assets (that belong to you and me) and sell for pennies on the dollar to the highest bidder (cough, Koch Bros.). It's like a big Monopoly game to these bastards. Snyder's repug supporters in this state say they wanted him cuz he's a "biznesssssman"

5. It's the Libertarian Way
and unless and until it is stopped by force, it will continue. Because a Libertarian recognizes no other obstacle, not reason, not humanity, not farternity, liberty (except their own) and sure as hell, not equality. Randists to the end.

I could not believe that Ann Arbor voted for this jerk. For all its pretensions, Ann Arbor is full of wanna-be elitists who never will be, but don't let that stop them.

7. This is not just an attack on the teachers it is an attack on ALL unions.
Once they crush the unions no one will make over ten dollars an hour.

8. I know Dave Britton. He is a good man and a good educator. Cares very much about kids.
Michigan has no democracy anymore. We are a Republican Totalitarian State.
