Bush in Crawford, Calls Leaders (+ Easter Plans)
(snip)

Bush did not speak with Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi, who was plunged into his deepest crisis since taking office when three Japanese were abducted in Iraq.

Their captors threatened to burn the Japanese hostages alive unless Japan withdrew from Iraq within three days. In Japan, thousands of protesters pressed the government Friday to pull out.

Vice President Dick Cheney left for Asia on Friday, carrying a personal appeal to Japanese leaders to resist pressure from the kidnappers.

Rice was to arrive at Bush's ranch Friday, where the Bush family was gathering for the Easter weekend. The president's parents, mother-in-law, daughters and Rice planned to attend church together Sunday at Fort Hood, Texas.

On Saturday, Bush and his father were to go fishing at the ranch's bass pond with a crew from the Outdoor Life Network's "Fishing with Roland Martin."

The White House approached the network about coming to film Bush, who is eager to cultivate an image as a sportsman with the millions of voters who hunt and fish. The crew was to bring its own boat for the shoot on the small pond.

6. I hope the Japanese have a very frank talk with him.
Somebody has to tell that fat criminal that he's gone too far, and there will be repercussions if he doesn't make some kind of incredible genius moves to make this all turn out all right.

I mean, Cheney managed to get some Japanese captured by some Iraqis. Who else could make such a boast?

12. Put that on his resume.
While we were fighting his war in Iraq and
millions of Americans were out of work and
Osama was still not captured and...

he didn't have time to testify before the 9/11 commission,
he did have plenty of time to go fishing.

5. Yep! Look at the parallels with ancient Rome
America's empire building - Rome's empire building

Bush at the pig farm while Iraq burns - Nero fiddles while Rome burns

I'm not given to despise people, but I can truly say that I despise *.

10. He wont be in Washington on Monday...
so the regular people can take their kids back to the annual White House Easter Egg Roll. When he has been there, the regular folks weren't allowed to participate in this traditional festivity.

:silly: (Don't forget your egg rolls and mustard and duck sauce. How they got associated with Easter, I'll never know, but having an Easter Egg roll on the south lawn Easter Monday has been a longtime White House tradition.) :silly:

18. IIRC, regular folks have not been part of any holidays at the WH
from Day 1. And that includes BEFORE the security excuse that the post-9/11 world provided. I'm pretty sure that Fourth of July, Christmas, and other holiday celebrations that used to be open to the public have been restricted to an invited group that has included Bush family and friends, connections of some administration members, and the occasional carefully selected military families. The rest of us are not welcome in The People's House without an invitation.

11. Rice arrived in time to help Bush on the phone calls...
..don't you know it! He is completely incapable of speaking to the leaders.. he has nothing more than some stupid-ass nicknames, and small talk... he just doesn't care. He does NOT want to be pResident.. he doesn't. It's obvious. I just know he's had a conversation that sounded something like this: To Cheney and Poppy: Okay, okay, I'll do it! But you makes sure I can live my life the way I have up till now. I still want to nap, play video games, jog, and watch t.v. Don't make me talk to anyone, I'm NOT going to read a bunch of crap.. I don't care. I just want to be Baseball Commissioner." Cheney & Poppy: "leave it up to us. You won't even know you're president... ha, ha. Jeb: Hey! I WANT to be president.. how come HE gets to this time?? Not fair! Mom!!!!!"

13. The fishing show is as fake as his presidency is
Edited on Sat Apr-10-04 07:15 AM by MaineDem
A friend of mine was a cameraman for TNN when they were doing fishing shows. They plant the fish to make it look authentic. They spend hours waiting for a fish to be caught. Or they send people out in advance to catch some fish. It all looks so "real" on tv, doesn't it? Sorta like W's whole life!

First class POS!!!

16. Aren't There Any Adults in the White House?
If he wants to work union rules, Bush ought to be a garbage collector. Except in emergencies, they come out anyway...

What kind of job can we recommend for such a man?

How about license plates manufacturer?
