NW Indiana TimesINDIANAPOLIS | Four days after thousands of union workers attended one of the largest-ever Statehouse protests, union members rallied inside the Statehouse on Monday, and they plan to keep it up until House Democrats return.
"One day longer, one day stronger," said Nancy Guyott, president of the Indiana AFL-CIO.
About 100 union members stood outside the House chamber and cheered mightily when House Speaker Brian Bosma, R-Indianapolis, announced not enough representatives were present to do business.
Union workers have rallied every day since Feb. 22, when House Democrats went to Illinois to halt action on perceived anti-union legislation.
