10 hurt in Fort Bragg blast

FORT BRAGG (AP) — An explosion at Fort Bragg has injured 10 military personnel who were participating in an exercise on the Army post.

Staff Sgt. Jayson Price of the Camp Lejeune-based 2nd Marine Division said today the explosion Monday night injured eight Marines and two Navy personnel. He says the cause of the explosion is under investigation but that it occurred during an artillery live fire exercise.

Price would not release the names of those injured and did not have details about the extent of the injuries.

Looks like some ordinance exploded inside a howitzer bore.
