Recall Effort Underway In District

MADISON, Wis. -- A complaint has been filed with the attorney general's office claiming state Sen. Randy Hopper hasn't been living in his district.

Dawn Meyer sent the complaint on Monday, accusing Hopper, R-Fond du Lac, of living outside his district.

Hopper's campaign spokesman Jeff Harvey said Hopper is living in a Fond du Lac apartment. He filed for divorce in August.

Harvey said the allegations are part of a smear campaign to boost the recall effort against Hopper, who voted for a bill that ends most collective bargaining for the majority of public employees.
