34. This too is not news
Obama may have run to the left (generally) of Hillary, but he's governed far far far to the right, very close to Bush territory. Don't think I've ever seen a person who is more hypocritical than Obama - fire up his base indeed. The only thing he does is denigrate his base because he thinks we'll stick with him no matter what. WRONG!

39. Sigh
It's obvious from some of the replies that people have not learned lessons from 2008.

First: Hillary was not a liberal. It is annoying to read people say that "Hillary would have done this or that better than Obama would have, because she is a liberal." Really? Funny how she would have had to undo half her own policies, like don't ask don't Tell, Nafta, and the US slavishness to Israel, as well as her friendship with Mubarak. Funny how she would have been against mandates for Health insurance.

The problem is, the vast majority of Democratic voters, myself included, wanted to move BEYOND the Clinton Era, to move beyond the triangulation damnation. Where Obama failed is that he picked up all of Clinton's lousy ideas, from insurance mandates to our servitude to Israel to our need to seek "friends" in the GOP, even though he knows they would hang him from a tree, right next to the stake they would burn Hillary at. He appointed Clinton era wonks, and chose Clinton style third way politics. The very reason Obama is in trouble is because he tried to imitate Clinton poltics, which only work because Bill epitomizes the true desires of most Americans, to be a damned pirate sleazeball and still be admired, or at least "cool." You need Charisma to do that, something neither Hillary Nor Obama have. But that is ok, Hillary could hire Mark Penn, and hide all those references to race, (like when Bill said "we got mugged") and be forgiven, because she flatters the vanity of some better than others.

Don;t get me wrong, I am angry that I got baited and switched, although when it comes to 2008, a dead maggot eaten corpse would be better than the best the GOP could offer, something that will be in effect 2012. Of course, thanks to a lot of Florida voters, we have GOP controlling Florida. Many of said voters abandoned Kendrick Meek as a payback for the "stolen" 2088 Florida votes (you know, the ones Hillary herself condemned until she won the primary) But hey, even DU allowed people to stump for that bastion of liberalism, Charlie Crist. Who knows, maybe we will find out just how much worse the GOP guy could have been, especially on ce he gets to stack the court with enough thugs to drown out sotomayor and Kagan.

46. Clinton: No interest in job if Obama wins in 2012
Source: Associated Press

– 1 hr 15 mins ago

WASHINGTON – Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said Wednesday she does not want to stay in her job if President Barack Obama wins a second term in 2012.

The nation's top diplomat also firmly said she neither has plans to mount another White House bid nor interest in other posts, such as vice president or defense secretary.

Clinton, visiting Cairo, was asked whether she would stay on in a second Obama term. She also was asked if she would like the jobs of president, vice president or defense secretary. She offered single word responses to each: "No."
.....................
"You know, I had a wonderful experience running and I am very proud of the support I had and very grateful for the opportunity, but I'm going to be, you know, moving on," Clinton said.

67. yes and no.
Sure, she supports the president's policies, but the president doesn't make all of the decisions - that's why he has a cabinet, staff, etc. A large part of her job is to make some of these decisions, and more importantly, to advise the president. That is beside the point though. This is about the (horrible) job that Clinton has done, and about the fact that she now doesn't want it. "boo" to the horrible job, "yay" for her leaving it.

57. HAHA!!
Since you dug it up, may I please point out that there wasn't an actual primary in Michigan, and most people - like myself - registered to vote there didn't pay any attention to it at all. If I had my own Michigan Democratic primary that wasn't officially sanctioned I don't suspect the outcome of that election would mean much either. If that's what you want though, just go hold your own elections, pick the results, and then complain that no one else recognizes them, if that's what it takes to make you feel better.
