2. He saw a great deal of history...
...made some of it himself, yet I feel he never was treated as he ought to have been in the media. I suspect most Americans really have no sense of what's done in the State Department, or how important it is, and even a top Cabinet officer, especially someone like Christopher, can be ignored when there are so many larger-than-life figures in the international arena.

3. wikileaks
has shown us that much of what is done inside the stater department is just messing around with other governments, reporting on gossip, etc.

4. R.I.P.
for a full and illustrious career. His commission after the L.A. riots helped to expose the crap festering in the L.A. police dept.

9. I once saw him in person in a lounge at a hotel in Los Angeles in 2006. He was having
a drink with a man I didn't recognize. I said to him "you look familiar," and he told me who he was...I then told him with a very intense look that I wished that he were still our Secretary of State. He had a very serious look on his face. I later saw a news report and recognized who the other man was -- Douglas Feith, architect of the US led invasion of Iraq and user of false intelligence in order to justify the invasion!!! What strange bedfellows!!

10. RIP, Mr. Christopher, you were certainly a better man than anything in the current Cabinet--
not withstanding that Hillary is a woman.
