Edited on Sun Mar-20-11 01:37 PM by alp227
Source: The Washington Post

NEW DELHI — U.S. politician Sarah Palin stressed the importance of America’s ties with India, saying they were based on the shared values of freedom and free-market capitalism, while sounding a warning note on China’s rise during a speech Saturday in New Delhi.

The visit to India is a rare foreign venture for the ex-Alaska governor and reality TV star, who was John McCain’s running mate in his failed 2008 campaign for president. The trip, which also includes a stop in Israel, is raising speculation Palin wants to burnish her foreign policy credentials ahead of a possible 2012 presidential run.

Palin told a well-heeled audience of Indian business leaders, professionals and socialites that U.S.-Indian relations were “key to the future of our world.”

Maybe Obama could appoint her to be the US ambassador to some uninhabited island.

Of course, no one amongst those BILLIONS of people have a freakin' clue who Sarah Palin is.

Wish that were so everywhere.

Edited on Sat Mar-19-11 09:12 PM by AlbertCat
She's NOT a politician.

She quit... remember....after she lost.... remember?

She's a TV personality with a failed reality show.

"the ex-Alaska governor and reality TV star, who was John McCain’s running mate in his failed 2008 campaign for president. "

Oh! See? They did remember. So why did they print the malarkey about "US Politician"?

Damn librul media!

30. I see something the rest of you overlooked
The crowd she spoke to is described as "well-heeled." Also note: absolutely no press was allowed into the room.

It looks to me like she's trying to raise foreign capital for her possible presidential run. This is a violation of the Federal Elections Campaign Act, which prohibits foreign contributions to any local, state or national election and there's some substantial fines and prison time involved here.

If it can be proven that Sarah Palin accepted so much as a dollar of overseas money for any campaign she might be contemplating, she's gonna be Bernie Madoff's next-cell neighbor for several years.

33. Palin is NOT yet campaigning. She is making money for her speeches which is legal.
Her booking agent company bills the locations for her speeches and then Palin receives the money personally.
Palin is NOT going to use 'her own' money which she receives for her speeches for any campaign.

Edited on Sun Mar-20-11 07:17 PM by Zambero
There's plenty of scientific evidence to suggest that Homo sapiens arrived on the Indian peninsula some 75,000 years ago. So either India is on a different planet or Palin belongs on one (I vote for the latter).
