Libya asks for UN ceasefire observers

Libya has asked UN chief Ban Ki-moon to send observers to monitor a ceasefire it said it declared in response to demands from the Security Council, Foreign Minister Mussa Kussa said on Saturday.

"We announced a ceasefire, which is proof that Libya has responded positively to the decisions of the United Nations," Kussa told a news conference

However else you feel about the UN action, it's clear that the Libyan declaration of a cease fire was a ruse to take Benghazi.

6. Clear to whom? And why not make it even "clearer" by sending
the UN inspectors in? Because they may find out that it is not at all clear, that's why.

UN is just a tool for its masters.

Saddam didn't have WMDs, Bush went for the invasion anyway.
