Poll: Voters disapprove of Kasich's bargaining battle, overall performance
Source: (Toledo) Blade

Ohio voters disapprove of Gov. John Kasich's efforts to restrict collective bargaining of public employees, and they are almost as likely to disapprove of the governor's overall performance, according to a new poll released Wednesday.

The poll of 1,384 registered voters by Connecticut-based Quinnipiac University found that 48 percent of voters don't like Senate Bill 5 that would limit collective bargaining. Forty-one percent approve.

When the question was reworded to limit collective bargaining "rights," disapproval climbed to 54 percent.

Fifty-three percent say the Republican governor's budget proposal is unfair to them, and 46 percent disapprove of the way he's done his job two and half months into his term.

This guy's going over like a lead balloon, but he has a four-year term and he knows it.

1. He doesn't care because who's going to stop him from his plundering?
The citizens have no recourse and his nightmare term has just begun. :-(

2. Kasich's attitude reminds me of
the Bush "You're either with us or against us." cowboy bullshit. It is dictatorial in nature. Either these new Republican governors have the voting process under their complete control or they just do not care if they are reelected.

4. he used to sing with John Ashcroft in their cornball group that
you can find on the internet. I think they were called the Senators or something. He thinks he's on the level with Elvis. Really. He does.

7. Oh, he's one those way out there

8. just bear in mind...
It was only 49% of those who showed up that voted for Kasich. There are still a lot of smart people around here; we just need to mobilize them!

3. It's about selling off assets dirt cheap to cronies. He'll profit obscenely:
Watch this:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/42222950#42222950

Gov Kasich is privatizing Liquor Stores to Wall Street Investors for pennies on the dollar financed by the Ohio Treasury. The Chairman of the "Jobs Ohio" group that will benefit is JOHN KASICH-fancy that.

5. 46% is STILL too high. What's wrong with the people of Ohio?
Kasich has done much more to destroy the state's economy other than the collective bargaining issue.

He is on course to bankrupt the state entirely.

And his plan to use the proceeds from this "booze" deal that he made is gambling with taxpayer dollars.

I am completely baffled by the fact that there isn't nearly as much outrage as there should be!

10. He and the other new repuke governors are GOP kamikazi pilots.
None of them will ever have a future in elected office again but that isn't what they got themselves elected for.

Their mission is to disassemble and destroy as much of their states' governments as possible during their tenures. They will be building the infrastructure to permanently funnel as much public $$ into private wallets as they can.

As an illustration, Kasich's first act as governor was to disband the state's Dept. of Development and create a PRIVATE CORPORATION to supposedly perform those functions. The PRIVATE CORPORATION was started with $1M of PUBLIC $$$. It is free from sunshine laws and basically has little/no accountability to the very public which funds it. This corporation is now a money laundering/slush fund for the GOP.

This is fascism folks and it's right here right now.
