subtle or stealth about their contempt. They are longer a political entity, just a giant ball of hate. FOX News, Koch Bros., the Citizens United decision, etc. have made them pretty ballsy.

34. I weep for my home state
Born and raised in Akron, OH. Third and fourth generation. Most of my family is still there. My wife is from Millersburg, OH. I graduated from the University of Akron. She graduated from Kent State. Both my kids were born in Ohio.

We left 2 years ago for Florida. (OK we have our share of Nazi's down here...AKA Rick 'The Felon' Scott.) Ohio has gone even that much more in the shitter since we left. I don't even recognize it. We traveled there last week for Spring Break to visit family. Besides visitng my folks, sister, friends, etc. it was REALLY depressing.

35. Lifelong Ohioan here
Not the state I grew up in. The Republicans in the Ohio Senate are ridiculous fools, who not only shame themselves, but dishonor our state with their petty, asinine 'look at me, I'm bigger than you' pretend legislating. You were not worthy before you entered, and you will be diminished when you leave.

36. Born raised and still living in Ohio
Edited on Thu Mar-24-11 12:02 AM by samplegirl
which was once a boom state in manufacturing. Middle class people stayed here because they were tied to industries that employed generation after generation before them. Every time Republicans were in office they took more and more much like they are doing now and it was never enough. Ohio suffered through those Reagan years believe me.
Now every time I drive by and empty factory....and look at more Corporations lining each side of the highway and from one street corner to the next a Payday Loan or Check into Cash. I see the end result of the true MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!!

That stimulus money did much here in my hometown. Besides making the downtown streets look better new lampposts were placed in keeping the historical theme to the downtown. We were able to further expand our Packard Museum which holds local car shows through the summer and many winter exhibits of historical events. People were able to attend free concerts and art exhibits throughout the summer in which stimulus payed for renovation of a beautiful stage. Republicans hated these signs the
minute they went in. So not surprising they want them out.

This was written by a fellow D.U.er which I wish the people in Ohio would of realized long long before now....

THE POLITICAL ELITES IN THIS COUNTRY ARE TO THE RIGHT OF HER CITIZENS
AND ARE ENACTING FASCIST POLICIES. THEY WANT YOU TO WORK FOR A PITTANCE
AND TO BE HAPPY ABOUT IT. IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT PARTY AT THIS MOMENT.
THE ELITES ARE TO THE RIGHT OF YOU. AND THEY WILL ONLY WAKE UP WHEN THE
SMELLING SALTS OF GENERAL STRIKES AND PEOPLE IN THE STREETS FINALLY HIT
THEM.
