COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- A panel of Ohio lawmakers made a bill to limit collective bargaining rights for 350,000 public workers even tougher for unions on Tuesday, as the state moved closer to Wisconsin-style restrictions.

A Republican-controlled House labor committee voted 9-6 along party lines to send the bill to the full House. Its approval of the legislation was met with chants of "Shame on you!" from the several hundred demonstrators gathered outside the hearing room.

"I don't hear your supporters out there!" one man inside the room shouted to lawmakers.

A vote on the bill in the GOP-controlled House could come Wednesday. The Senate, also led by Republicans, passed the bill earlier this month on a 17-16 vote and would have to agree to the changes before Gov. John Kasich could sign it into law. The new Republican governor also supports the bill.

3. Really? A Democratic President Is Pushing These Anti-Unions Bills? What a lie!
Republicans are continuing their assault on workers rights and the middle class, and that's your post? Not a single reference to the Republicans who are pursuing this travesty? Not a single word of support for the Democrats who have been fighting and opposing such efforts? Have we been so trained by the corporate media that when the Republicans do something that outrages us, we blame the Democrats?

Amazing! Corporate media mind control!

4. Obama could at least pretend that he cares...
He visited the fucking U.S. Chamber of Commerce to kiss some corporate ass...

Instead of walking the same distance in another direction and put the weight of the pResidency behind the AFL/CIO and working people.

That told me a lot, what does it tell you?

Get it through your head, the Democans and the Repulicrats are the Whak-a-Mole game that your corporate capitalist masters give you to keep you from seeing them rob you blind.

2. The best news I heard about this bill came from Rachel tonight
A petition with 65,000 signatures from Ohio residents opposing this bill was presented by the Dems. It seems the citizens of that State have the right to repeal the bill at the polls in November should they decide to do so. The petition is designed to show the legislators that is expected to happen, there is so much opposition by the general public to this legislation. I hope Rachel's reporting is correct on this (which she almost always is).
