4:52pm The Associated Press reports that a US military plane has crashed, and the pilot has been injured, according to German police. It remains unclear what the circumstance around the crash are, and whether or not the plane was involved in operations in the Mediterranean theatre.

But that makes 2 of our fighter planes crashing within about a week due to accident/malfunction/pilot error.

US military plane crashes in Germany

BERLIN (AP) -- Police say a U.S. military plane has crashed in western Germany.

A police spokesman said the pilot ejected from an A-10 Thunderbolt before it crashed Friday. He was injured and hospitalized.
