Indianapolis StarA judge says that Democrats’ challenge to Charlie White’s eligibility to serve as secretary of state is valid, and has sent it back to the Indiana Recount Commission to be resolved.
The Democrats’ lawsuit stemmed from the commission’s decision not to hear their allegations that White, who was registered at an old address when he filed his candidacy, was not eligible to run in November's election.
Marion Circuit Court Judge Louis Rosenberg ruled this afternoon that the Recount Commission must allow the Democrats to present their case.
... In March, a grand jury indicted (White) on three counts of voter fraud, two counts of perjury, one count of theft and one count of fraud on a financial institution.
