Berlusconi won't seek another term as PM
Source: BBC/Reuters

Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi has used a speech in Rome to announce he will not seek another term of office when his present mandate ends.

Mr Berlusconi talked practically non-stop during nearly four hours and touched on almost every aspect of Italian politics, current international affairs and his own personal legal problems.

He quashed rumours that he intends to stand for election as president when the term for the incumbent head of state ends in 2013.

But he did not rule out some future political role for himself as a father figure who would advise future centre-right coalitions.

2. I have mixed feelings on this subject.
On the one hand, he was pretty awful as Prime Minister and how this guy become the leader of a developed European country is beyond me, but then again, I know next to nothing about Italian politics.

On the other hand, which global leader would be as entertaining as this guy? The jokes write themselves with this guy.:silly:

4. There are some others as entertaining, but they tend to be more overtly evil too.
Lil' Kim, Ahm-an-idjit, Mugabe, Khaddaffi, Slobbo to name a few past & present, And then there are the ones that are just evil without being entertaining, which are legion.
