Cocaine found on bus carrying Venezuelan militias

CARACAS, Venezuela – Police seized 66 pounds (30 kilograms) of cocaine aboard a bus transporting members of Venezuela's government-organized militias, authorities said Thursday.

Federal Police Chief Wilmer Flores Trosel said the cocaine was discovered when the bus was stopped on Wednesday near the presidential palace in Caracas, where the militia members were slated to participate in an event celebrating President Hugo Chavez's return to power following a 2002 coup.

Five suspects, including the bus driver and his assistant, were arrested, Flores Trosel said.

The suspected smugglers "thought they would get through without being discovered," Venezuela's state-run AVN news agency quoted Flores Trosel as saying. "They took advantage of the fact that militiamen were traveling inside the bus."

2. Shuffling the decks of the paramilitaries.
Glad they got caught by people who are at least trying not to seem corrupt.

4. They will never love you, Hugo, no matter how many drug busts you do,
so why don't you do the right thing, and END the "war on drugs"? Legalize it all. That will put a trillion dollar sized crimp in the Bush Cartel's mountain of gold, not to mention the CIA and U.S banksters. Want to strike a blow at these vultures and save billions in unnecessary police and prison costs? Want to put half the war profiteering U.S. security state out of business? Want to END their excuse for war games in Latin America? Legalize all drugs! Let adults decide what they will ingest. It would be bell ringing for freedom as well! The non-shot heard round the world!

6. Did you catch where the bus trip originated ?

Santa Barbara de Zulia -- yep, that Zuila, the western Venezuelan state that borders Colombia, the world's largest producer of cocaine.

The AP article rings of what is known in Latam as "mala leche," -- which can be translated as "mal-intentioned," because the story implies that the militiamen loyal to Chavez were somehow involved in drug trafficking, which is false.

"Mala leche" also because the OP does not say that NOT one of the militia members were arrested. Five civilians were taken into custody, the bus driver, co-driver, a bus assistant and a man and a woman in a taxi who received the cocaine in Caracas.

The Hugo-bashers fail in trying to pull the wool over DUers who may not be as familiar of their tactics as we are.

7. They seem psychotically driven to smear these mangled stories every days of their pitiful lives.
Abnormal psychology unfolds for us to witness daily.

Clumsy, and crude, not to mention stupid, yet we're up and running with another stinker, here.

Thanks for throwing the missing LIGHT on the subject, rabs. :woohoo:
