NATO jets strike inside Gaddafi compound
Source: Reuters

A NATO airstrike flattened a building inside Muammar Gaddafi's Bab al-Aziziyah compound early Monday, in what a press official from Gaddafi's government said was an attempt on the Libyan leader's life.

Firefighters were still working to extinguish flames in a part of the wrecked building when journalists were brought on a government-organised trip to the scene, a few hours after three loud explosions shook central Tripoli.

The press official, who asked not to be identified, said Gaddafi used the destroyed building for ministerial and other meetings. She said 45 people were injured, including 15 who were seriously hurt, and some were still unaccounted for after the attack.

2. NATO's magic bombs avoid children and other civilians.
So they can bomb anywhere.

8. That's a rather liberal interpretation of the "no-fly zone"
What was flying there, exactly?

10. Probably mistook the air conditioning units on the buildings for VTOL thrusters.
Or something.

11. Probably comes under "protecting civilians."
After all, while Gaddhafi is alive he might hurt a civilian. That's the suspicion, what more proof do we need. (After all, they're our suspicions.)

13. And who the hell decided that killing Qaddafi will solve
all the problems in Libya? The same geniuses who thought that a no-fly zone and some bombing will do the trick? Do they really believe
that all that holds together the pro-Qaddafi forces is their personal loyalty to the colonel? So they kill Moammar and Seif becomes the
Leader, do they kill him next? And then Saadi or Hamis or whatever their names are. And then Aisha and all the grandchildren, I presume?
So they wipe out the whole Qaddafi family (that's already probably more people than were killed in all initial protests) then what? What
a bunch of useless morons our leaders are.
