Olbermann's Current TV Show Called 'Countdown,' Launches June 20

Keith Olbermann finally announced what his new Current TV show will be called, and when it will air.

The new name? "Countdown With Keith Olbermann."

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it," Olbermann joked in a video announcement posted to his "Fok News Channel" site on Tuesday morning.

Previously, Olbermann would only say that the show would air in "late spring." In the video, he at last gave a specific date: Monday, June 20, at 8 PM Eastern.

2. I can't wait, I love the man and what he stands for. I also love the way he speaks about the issues

of the day. Even though I'm a FOK, and I watch him online, I can't wait to have him back on the tube. The only thing I watch on TV now, is Rachel Maddow, Lawrence O'Donell sometimes Big Ed, sometimes Tweety and Turner Classic Movies, that's if for my TV viewing, but I'm thrilled about Keith coming back and I guess I'll be watching Current as well.

6. IMHO, Keith needs to rise above the petty squabbling

and name calling of Fox and reestablish himself as the real journalist I think he can be. Leave the name-calling to us! :)

Current TV is THE place for Keith. No, it doesn't have the biggest audience in the world - expect it to start increasing though - but most importantly Keith has bosses that actually back and support him now. He'll have more freedom to speak the truth. This is gonna be really interesting! :evilgrin:
