US soldier killed in Iraq bomb attack

A United States soldier has been killed and five wounded in two separate roadside bombing attacks near the city of Samarra in Iraq, the military said on Thursday.

"One Task Force Danger soldier was killed and five wounded in two improvised explosive device (IED) attacks near Samarra at around noon April 14," a statement said.

"The first IED killed one soldier and wounded two others. Nearby, a second convoy was attacked by another IED wounding three soldiers," it said.

4. I'm also losing track
There are so many casualties these days it's difficult to tell the new attacks from ones previously reported.
