Bush wants UN help in Iraq
Bush wants UN help in Iraq

By Evelyn Leopold

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - President George W. Bush says
he is counting on a U.N. envoy to come up with plans for an
interim Iraqi government and hopes a new U.N. resolution will
persuade more countries to provide troops.

<snip>

Brahimi, in Iraq since April 5, on Wednesday did propose
that a caretaker Iraqi government led by a prime minister, a
president and two vice presidents take over until elections
can be held in January.

The U.S.-appointed Iraqi Governing Council would go out of
business and perhaps a "consultative assembly" could be
established after July 1 to advise the interim government.

<snip>

Secretary-General Kofi Annan has made clear the United
Nations, while insisting on an independent role, has no
intention of replacing occupying authorities.

1. The UN should flip him off
To be honest, I have very little regard for the UN (nice idea, not practiced well IMHO), but they should treat Bush with the same regard he showed them - you know, send over a rep to take a dump on his desk or something like that.

3. Good luck, asshole.
Thumbing your nose at the UN and encouraging your misbegotten followers to call the UN 'irrelevant' is no way to win friends and influence people; especially not the people you want to come in, pay, fight and die for your collossal fuck-up.

Dale Carnegie, your table is ready!!!
