The 26-year-old group, which reportedly has 10,000 members, has drawn attention in recent years for criticism of Republican office seekers who refuse to meet with the organization. The group was named in honor of Abraham Lincoln, the Republican icon who grew up in a log cabin.
Rob Compton and David Wilson, one of several couples from Massachusetts who sued that state after being a denied a marriage license, will speak this morning about their perspective on the contentious marriage debate. Their case prompted a state high court ruling that the ban on gay marriage there was unconstitutional.
The convention also will feature a Saturday discussion of the group's $1 million fund-raising drive. The money is earmarked for TV and print ads opposing the constitutional amendment. Former Rep. Michael Huffington, a California Republican and bisexual, is scheduled to speak at that panel.

Other speakers are conservative Andrew Sullivan, who writes for The New Republic magazine, and Amy Walter with the nonpartisan Cook Political Report. Sullivan will speak at today's noon lunch, and Walter will be the speaker at Saturday's noon lunch. Walter is expected to provide information on this year's important political races.
