PoliticoHouse Speaker John Boehner could face a revolt if he follows Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s lead in trying to give the president the power to lift the debt ceiling.

I guess some House Republicans are continue their march to anarchy as well as the recent trend of undercutting their alleged leaders by now attacking Mitch McConnell. Of course, the corporate media tries to engage in false equivalence by suggesting that Democrats are being just as unreasonable by insisting on the repeal of just some tax cuts, but the truth of the matter is that some Republicans are loudly demanding that the Nation default while no Democrat is making such a demand.
The hidden truth is that Republicans are proudly, economically illiterate. They loudly denounce warnings that social security checks will not go out if there is a default while also threatening impeachment if President Obama goes over the debt limit. Nevermind that their positions are inherently inconsistent. Well, McConnell discovers that he can also be on the receiving end of Republican stupidity.
Sadly, some Republicans honestly believe that they are completely unaccountable. They honestly believe that if they drive the nation into default, only Democrats will be held responsible, thus they can in a childish manner with impunity.
The Republican leadership is to blame by pandering to such idiocy by pumping a No New Tax Constitutional Amendment while also trying to pass McConnell's surrender proposal.
