Ex-trader admits threatening to kill U.S. regulators
Source: Yahoo-Reuters

NEW YORK (Reuters) - A former commodities trader pleaded guilty on Monday to threatening to kill more than 40 financial regulators, including the heads of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.

Vincent McCrudden, 50, admitted in court that he posted the threats on his company's website last December, asking for help executing his plan. His guilty plea came the day testimony was to begin in his federal trial, said his lawyer Bruce Barket....

...His posts included the names of current and former officials including SEC Chairman Mary Schapiro and CFTC Chairman Gary Gensler, as well as officials at the National Futures Association and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.

"These people have got to go! And I need your help, there are just too many for me alone," McCrudden wrote in one post, according to the indictment.

Whaddya expect of these Right Wing neo-fascists? Clearly they are being over
regulated if they can't rip US off, especially with their tax holiday free lunch derivatives.

Alito & Roberts (& Scalia & Thomas) would probably call this free speech.

Ex-Commodities Trader Vincent McCrudden Pleads Guilty in Death-Threat Case
By Thom Weidlich and Janon Fisher - Jul 18, 2011 12:12 PM CT

Former commodities trader Vincent P. McCrudden, accused of threatening to kill financial regulators, pleaded guilty today.

McCrudden pleaded guilty to two counts of transmission of threats to injure, before opening arguments were scheduled to begin in his trial in federal court in Central Islip, New York. The charges carry a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison. His sentencing was scheduled for Dec. 5.

McCrudden, 50, who also ran his own hedge funds, was accused of threatening the lives of 47 current and former officials, including Securities and Exchange Commission Chairwoman Mary L. Schapiro and Commodity Futures Trading Commission Chairman Gary Gensler.

McCrudden has been held without bail since he was arrested Jan. 13 returning from Singapore. He was charged with threatening the regulators in profanity-filled e-mails and, after the CFTC sued him in December, Web postings. McCrudden had said he was being persecuted for fighting back against unfair regulatory actions that destroyed his career.

4. This really is an outrage....
when did the malefactors of great wealth start to believe that they can murder/assassinate Representatives of the US Government in the performance of duties to enforce the laws of the land?
I can't help but imagine what would happen if the targeted people had been FBI employees or other law enforcement personnel. But these bankster robber barons believe that are above the law in pursuit of financial gain. They can act with impunity when it comes to regulations because regulations are an unnecessary infringement on the Sacred Free Market.
This is banana republic thinking and it is scary as hell. The law only applies to the little people and is enforced in such a way that it profits only the entitled few in US society.
What a country............
