Body of Dru Sjodin found

CROOKSTON, Minn. – Searchers found the body of Dru Sjodin at midday today in a remote area of Polk County, off County Road 61 west of U.S. Highway 75.

Polk County Sheriff Mark LeTexier made the announcement at about noon to a group of about 50 orange-clad searchers gathered for lunch at Crookston High School.

"You've probably heard, Dru is home," said an emotional LeTexier. "Thank you."

LeTexier released no details about where Sjodin's body was found. A news conference is expected at 4:30 p.m. today.
