A Stink Bomb for Speaker Boehner?
Source: Fox News

Subject: Urgent: RSC’s Jordan not supportive of Boehner’s new plan

Off-cam conversation with Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), the chair of the Republican Study Committee that backed Cut, Cap and Balance. The RSC is comprised of nearly 180 of the most conservative Republicans.

Jordan said that he did not support the speaker’s new plan. He says the don’t know the new numbers and didn’t fully know yet how the caps would work.

However, Jordan says “the biggest thing is the balanced budget amendment.” Jordan says “we need to have that sent to the states.”

Well, that was quick...

Seriously, the fundamental principle of negotiation is that you can speak for the people you represent. It should be painfully obvious that Boehener can't deliver the votes for any strategy, and if he wants to be a player, maybe he should work out a deal with Nancy Pelosi....

They've convinced themselves it will not be so bad, and it will be a great opportunity to gut federal programs.

11. do not permit the repubs to open the Constitution
This is the big threat in all the posturing going on over the debt limit. This is what we should all be zeroeing in on. If the Constitution is opened, all sorts of of Republican ideals will be brought forward and with the voting machine debacle, much too much to lose. Cuts to programs can be fixed but in this age of chicanery, an amendment(s) can not easily be reversed.
