Gov. Christie is taken to hospital after having difficulty breathing
Source: NJ.com

SOMERVILLE — Gov. Chris Christie has been hospitalized at Somerset Medical Center, according to his office.

He was having difficulty breathing and was taken "out of an abundance of caution," said spokesman Michael Drewniak.

Drewniak said he has asthma and is "doing fine" and having more testing.

if all that spewed out of their mouth every day was bullshit. Kinda hard to breathe thru that stuff.

Coal pollution triggers asthma attacks and kills thousands of people a year.

Having said that, I hope he is okay for his family's sake. Better he quit or be defeated vs. dying of something as awful as an asthma attack.

11. I hope he's ultimately okay, but hope he's so scared he experiences
a near-death-experience type of life review and sees what a piece of shit he's been thus far and comes out preaching his new progressive life outlook. :7

But that never happened with Cheney, so I'm not holding my breath.

Sadly life is not a Frank Capra movie and even if it was, Mr. Potter was still a dick at the end of the movie. I'm afraid the only transformation we could hope for with this guy is possibly a crash diet.

35. I'm good!
Always nice to see you around the boards.

Yeah, there's something about this guy that says "super prick". The way he snapped at that woman who asked about his kids going to private school gave us glimpse into what he's really like.

I think he has a really nasty temper and probably suffers from sleep apnea due to all that weight. Not a good combination. He shouldn't be trusted with any major responsibility.

32. The sad thing is that it'll probably take a heart attack to scare him straight
and get him to lose the appropriate amount of weight. I remember how gaunt I thought Clinton looked after his massive surgery...what he had gone through! I'm sure his doctor has spoken to him about his need to lose excess weight, but sometimes people don't get it until something bad happens...my husband lost 30 pounds after he had just a stent. But those 30 pounds could mean his life...

34. My weight ballooned a couple of years ago. Breathing was only one of the problems.
But it was the most alarming.

I lost 75 pounds. All my physical problems disappeared. I could do commercials, if there were a product called "Eat Less!"

Some people seem to thrive being heavy. I thought I was dying.

my guess is Christie has always had weight issues.

maybe if he experienced the benefits of losing weight it might motivate him to stay there more.

48. actually
He was losing weight earlier this year. There were a number of stories in the news about his weight loss. When asked about it, he said he was doing it for his family.

However, I see the weight has not continued to come off, which is what it's like for most people who try to lose.

36. Whether he has asthma or not,
all that excess weight will make it difficult for him to breath. The health consequences of that much weight is really frightening. Not being able to breath is also a symptom of heart problems.

went through MN about two weeks ago. It was very hard to breathe under those circumstances. Warnings were given that we should keep the elderly and disabled inside. Maybe that is what happened to him.

29. Pointing out the obvious
Christie is running around with the Koch brothers and other Right Wing dumbasses that attack Mrs. Obama's effort to get the healthy living message out.

Obesity + no exercise + extreme stress (of which he caused himself) = Heart Attack or worse

I am not obese but I am struggling with my weight and a stupid arthritic left knee. I am exercising and starting to monitor my calorie intake.

Hope he realizes that he needs to get his weight under control or he won't be around for his kids.

which means it will just get worse for him unless he changes.

the guy has 4 young kids, he should at least try to get better for them and his wife.
