Wikileaks now has over 1M twitter followers, makes way to Google+

As of 5 a.m. Sunday (Manila time), WikiLeaks' Google+ account has at least 161 followers – including hacker groups Anonymous and Lulz Security.

Clicking on the profile picture of WikiLeaks reveals a second profile picture – the logo of Anonymous, indicating the hacktivist group may have had a hand in creating the WikiLeaks profile on Google+.

Meanwhile, WikiLeaks' Twitter account surpassed the one-million mark as of 3 a.m. Sunday (Manila time).

As of 6:09 a.m. in Manila, the WikiLeaks Twitter account indicated 1,001,359 followers.

I guess scaring their followers by asking for their info didn't work! Seems they got a lot more after that. Airc, when I started following them, after they were under attack, they had about 300,000 followers.

We have been informed about multiple accounts on the Google+ services which state that they are official WikiLeaks Google+ accounts - WikiLeaks does not own or operate any accounts on the Google+ services and has no plans on doing so as of this moment.
